Crazy Days

Temecula Choir Brings Home the Gold!!!

Ok, now wouldn't that make a great newspaper headline??? So, let me explain:

On Friday, my choir went to a festival at Cal. State Fullerton. We got to the school at 6:30 AM which is WAYYY to early to be at school. We got in the bus and surprisingly enough, we hit NO TRAFFIC... AT ALL!!!

So we get there and perform, but one person (who will remain unnamed) felt like he/she was going to faint, so this person sat down in the middle of the somg, which was probably a good idea. So people start laughing, which made a lot of people REALLY mad!!!! This person throws up in his/her hands at the very very end, making more people laugh, and making more of us mad.

We had oriinally signed up for the non-competitive part of the festival, and we son found out that we were the only choir that did that. After our performance we went outside to see the photographer, and a judge came out to talk to Mrs. Mewes (choir teacher). He wanted to put us inthe competittion part, and Mrs. Mewes agreed.

At the awards ceremony, 4 choirs got silver (there were 6 choirs total), one got gold and then for the suspense (we were the last choir to get announced). "Tmemcula Middle School Bobcat Choir..... GOLD MEDAL!!!!!!!!!!"

So our whole choir jumps to our feet screaming and hugging each other. I think Mrs. Mewes was actually CRYING.

So we get back on the bus and drive to Knott's Berry farm to spend the rest of the day. I hung out with Taylor Serge, Taylor Bawcombe, Shannon Murphy, Tanner Platts, and Sam DeSchepper. We had sooo much fun.
